Outdoor Swimming / Openwater Swimming

Swimming in the open water only becomes an experience with the right material. That's why we attach great importance to high-quality material, a comfortable fit and good visibility. The freedom that swimming in open water gives you should also be transferred to the material of our suits. That's why we developed suits with excellent freedom of movement.

Are you looking for a long wetsuit for open water swimming? Then our Atlantic and Ignite Men/ Ignite Women models might be right for you.

Are you looking for a short wetsuit? Then we have the Pacific model for you.

Open water swimming temperature, when is it too cold?

Even in the colder seasons you can swim in cool waters, depending on how cold you feel and your experience. Ideal water temperatures for swimming with a wetsuit are between 17 and 20 degrees. At higher temperatures, a neoprene shorty is suitable. If the temperature is below 16 degrees, you should consider how cold you feel.

Open water swimming winter, which suit?

Cold water swimming is officially defined as water temperatures between 5 and 10 degrees. This is not entirely harmless, so you should pay attention to your body's reactions "when ice bathing" in order to avoid "cold shock". Acclimatisation is the key word here, i.e. the body should gradually get used to the cold water. From our range, we can recommend the Ignite Men / Ignite Women model to hardened, experienced swimmers. This way, the open water season can be extended. It is also advisable to wear a neoprene bonnet and socks as thermal protection to additionally protect yourself from cooling down.

If you are looking for triathlon wetsuits, you can find our range here. These can also be worn in colder waters, their material thickness ranges from 3 mm - 5 mm.

Atlantic - The Neo-Hybrid for every swimmer
Is a wetsuit that falls into the category of open water swimming wetsuits, as it has much thinner material than that of a typical wetsuit and therefore only offers a small amount of buoyancy, but very good protection against cooling down. It is a long wetsuit, i.e. with long arms and legs. The Atlantic is particularly suitable for beginners and breaststroke swimmers, as it is very flexible and the material allows freedom of movement.

Ignite Men / Ignite Women - The Outdoor Swimming Wetsuit
The sailfish Ignite Men / Ignite Women is an outdoor swimming wetsuit made from high quality material that gives you excellent freedom of movement, balanced buoyancy and good visibility. It is suitable for both long and short swims. Its loop serves as a donning aid and to attach a buoy to it. The Ignite Men / Ignite Women is not a full wetsuit and therefore must not be worn during competitions. The orange areas on the back ensure visibility. This wetsuit is especially beneficial for beginners, as it is very comfortable to wear and has a soft and comfortable neckline.

Current - Neoprene Pants
An innovative neoprene Swim Current that provides extra buoyancy during swimming. For a better performance and an optimised water position in the pool or open water. Thus, the swim trunks are a pullbouy alternative.

Neoprene trunks ladies Sizes: XS, S, M, L and XL

Neoprene shorts men sizes: XXS, XS, S, M, L and XL

Pacific - Wetsuit short
Is an all-round neoprene shorty and can be compared as the "little brother" of triathlon wetsuits. It is particularly suitable for training in the cool outdoor pool and open water. The suit is sleeveless and legless and therefore easy to put on and take off. The shorty is closed with a zip on the back. Both breaststroke and crawl can be swum with the neoprene shorty.
