G-Range - the purist among our wetsuits
As the start signal approaches, you stand at the water’s edge, focused on the first leg of the race. In your mind, you visualise, one last time, your technique and tactics for the open water. And you know that with the sailfish G-Range 8, you have a partner that will help you achieve your goals and inspire you to achieve your personal best. The G-Range 8 - Uncompromisingly geared to performance, it has been constantly optimised and is now one of our top products. Use the equipment of the pros and become a master of speed in the water.
Freedom over buoyancy
Our sailfish Speedflex neoprene combines durability and comfort with good buoyancy properties. But the G-Range 8 doesn’t maximise buoyancy, so you determine your own water position, giving you absolute freedom in terms of swimming technique and speed.
Easy rotation for more efficient propulsion
For 2022, we are introducing another innovation to our wetsuits: the Hip Rotation Panel. This panel allows you to move your hips even more freely and rotate longitudinally for effective, energy-saving and powerful strokes.
Material thicknesses – coordinated and balanced
The maximum neoprene thickness of the G-Range 8 is 3mm on the chest and thighs. This provides sufficient buoyancy in these crucial areas without taking away your freedom to decide how you want to move. 2.5-3mm on the lower leg creates an optimal combination of buoyancy performance and freedom of movement – an advantage you will really appreciate in the transition zone. Arms and shoulders have almost limitless freedom thanks to just 1.5mm of neoprene in these areas. The efficiency and performance of this wetsuit keeps perfect pace with your own performance.
Pure swimming experience through more freedom of movement
Our super-lightweight Phantom Skin neoprene delivers the greatest possible flexibility. Combined with the Ultra Stretch Inner Liner, the G-Range 8 is a miracle of movement and provides a pure swimming experience. The Zero Resistance Panel takes our quest for unimpeded mobility to a new level. Fewer seams and the integrated arm panel make the suit a true purist, not only from a technical standpoint but from what you feel and experience in the open water.
Comfort – faster, lighter, easier to wear
A comfortable fit and easier entry and exit mean your G-Range 8 is not only a pleasure to wear from start to finish, but also helps you clock faster times. Our Super Comfort Inner Liner has the best wet-slip properties of any wetsuit. In the transition zone, Quick Release speeds up the process so the suit slides off quickly and easily – even the legs.

G-Range - Athlete voices
Laura Philipp
"I like to vary between the Ultimate IPS and the G-Range. In phases where I swim very well, the G-Range feels even more flexible in the shoulder area and I can use my legs more actively. Depending on the swim distance and swimming form, I decide between the two models."
Nils Frommhold
"As a long-time sailfish athlete, I deliberately chose the G- Range because the wetsuit simply suits me and my swimming style well. It actively helps me get into a good water/swimming position without giving me too much buoyancy, but the best thing about the G- Range is the high flexibility in the shoulder/upper body area. This is the heart of any wetsuit and when swimming with the G- Range I find it easy to swim my normal stroke without feeling like anything is constricting me."
