Triathlon Needs

Start number belt

Triathlon start number bands, also called start number belts, start number holders or racenumberbelts, are mainly used in triathlon competitions in order to complete quick changes. A triathlon start number band allows for faster changes between disciplines and thus provides a competitive advantage in triathlon. Meanwhile, a triathlon bib band is used in pure running events such as marathons. For running, a start number band is usually worn at waist level, whereas for cycling, the start number is oriented towards the back. Before using the triathlon bib band for the first time at an event, be sure to test it in training beforehand and adjust the width of your bib band to fit your body.

The sailfish start number band can be individually adjusted to your body and is also a start number band for children and gels or bars can be attached to the start number band. We have two triathlon start number bands on offer here, a start number band for quick and safe application of the start number and a start number band with integrated pocket for gels during running.

Neoprene glue
Neoprene glue closes and smaller tears and holes in the triathlon wetsuit. The sailfish wetsuit glue is a black water sports glue for a quick repair of the wetsuit. Small fingernail tears in the wetsuit generally have no influence on the gliding behaviour of the triathlon wetsuit, but they do look unsightly. The fingernail tears should be glued with neoprene glue to prevent further tearing. Larger tears down to the inner material, however, belong in the hands of professionals for professional neoprene repair.

Wetsuit care
To enjoy your triathlon wetsuit for as long as possible, you should care for it regularly. We therefore recommend that you rinse your triathlon wetsuit regularly. Always use cold water for rinsing! Hot water causes the softener in the wetsuit to gradually become brittle and hard. We therefore recommend that you use a special neoprene shampoo when caring for your wetsuit. This will primarily improve the smell of your wetsuit, but will not improve its longevity in the long term.

The sailfish neoprene shampoo is a mild product for cleaning and caring for your neoprene products - inside or out. Simply pour an amount into your hand, wash the wet product, rinse and dry as usual! sailfish Wetsuit Protect is completely biodegradable and free from synthetic fragrances and dyes. Contact with the eyes should nevertheless be avoided. Never put your triathlon wetsuit in the washing machine! Your wetsuit can be severely damaged in the process. Drying your wetsuit is also an important part of wetsuit care. We recommend hanging your triathlon wetsuit in the shade, ideally on your extra-wide plastic hanger.

Triathlon chip band
Where to put the triathlon chip tape? A question you no longer have to ask yourself. The chip band from sailfish consists of a neoprene band and is easy to attach to your ankle with a Velcro fastener to attach a timing chip.

Skin and neck protector
sailfish Skin & Neck Protect is absorbed into the skin and forms a fine protective film that protects the skin from neoprene chafing. Even in the water and with heavy sweating, the skin remains protected without affecting the natural moisture regulation. The odourless fluid is easy to apply with the practical roll-on and leaves hands grease-free for an unrestricted good feeling in the water. But with sailfish Skin & Neck Protect you don't just protect your skin: the combination of active ingredients in this fluid is specially adapted to neoprene and textile materials and does not attack them.

Small tip: The Skin & Neck Protect not only prevents unpleasant friction, it can also ensure faster changing times. Simply apply to the skin on the wrists and ankles with the practical roll-on.
