The Norwegian, who was already regarded as one of the most exciting newcomers of the year, crowned her incredible debut with victory in Hawaii. At her very first start in Kona, she triumphed - just like her compatriot and fellow sailfish athlete Casper Stornes a few weeks earlier - right at the premiere. Two victories, two debuts, one brand: sailfish.
A race full of passion and precision
Solveig set an exclamation mark right from the start. She already performed the swim in the Pacific - with the sailfish Women's Rebel Pro Plus 1 which was specially developed for the conditions in Hawaii. The suit stands for maximum hydrodynamics, uncompromising speed and absolute freedom of movement - and Solveig made perfect use of all of this.
She laid the foundation for her success with a strong swim start, remained confident over the entire bike course and demonstrated the kind of mental strength rarely seen on the last few kilometers of the run.
An impressive team performance
Kona was also a success for the other sailfish athletes. Laura Jansen (12) impressed with a consistently strong performance and fought her way into the top 15 in a top-class field.Anne Reischmann (31), Julie Iemmolo (38) and Rebecca Clarke (33) impressively showed that they also belong to the extended world elite. The women's competition in Kona 2025 will be remembered as one of the most exciting in recent years.
